Convertior guide
How to preserve transparency when converting images
Avoid losing transparent backgrounds when converting PNG, WebP and JPG files.
Know which formats support transparency
PNG and WebP can support transparency. JPG does not support transparent pixels.
Avoid converting transparent PNG to JPG
When a transparent PNG becomes JPG, transparent areas are usually filled with a solid color, often white or black.
Use WebP carefully
WebP can preserve transparency and often produce smaller files, but make sure your target platform supports it.
Check the background
Preview the converted image on a contrasting background so you can see whether transparency is still present.
Keep the source
Always keep the original transparent file in case you need to export it again for a different background or platform.
